The Birthplace of Route 66 Festival Car Show returns to Springfield for two full days of classic cars and cruising. The show runs Friday, August 7, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday, August 8, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with zone-parking gates opening at 6 a.m. both days. Cars may exit any time after 3 p.m.
Participants can cruise Springfield both nights at 6 p.m., free and open to the public. The first 600 pre-registered participants receive a T-shirt. Pre-registration by August 1 costs $40 per vehicle; day-of-show registration is $45 per vehicle.
Parking and packet pick-up is available Thursday from 1 to 4 p.m., Friday from 6 to 10 a.m., and Saturday from 6 to 10 a.m. across the street from the Route 66 Visitors Center at 815 E. St. Louis St. Online registration is available at https://birthplace66carshow.eventbrite.com.
