Palm Coast Elks #2709 Veterans Weekend

The Palm Coast Elks #2709 host a Veterans Weekend open house and membership drive at their lodge on Old Kings Road North. The weekend combines lodge tours, a classic vehicle cruise-in, live music and a motorcycle ride with a Toys For Tots toy collection.

Friday opens with the lounge open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Visitors can tour the lodge and meet members. A Gratitude America roast beef dinner begins at 6 p.m. at $25 per person, and reservations are required before Nov. 3 by calling 386-446-2709 ext. 3.

Saturday features a Classic Car & Truck Cruise-In from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Owners bring classic vehicles to the lodge to show them to Elks members, friends and family. Grilled hamburgers and hot dogs will be available for purchase, and live music follows at noon on the HT Productions Stage in the lodge lot. A Marine Corps dinner starts at 5 p.m., also $25 per person with reservations required before Nov. 3.

Sunday brings the Veteran Fun Run motorcycle ride. Registration and sign-in open at 8:30 a.m., kickstands go up at 10:30 a.m., and riders return to the Elks at 1 p.m. The ride asks a $20 donation per rider and $10 per passenger, and includes lunch back at the lodge. A 50/50 drawing runs alongside NFL games on eight televisions.

Attendees are asked to bring new, unopened toys to the lodge for Toys For Tots.
