Mercer County will host the second annual Night In A Car event on February 6, 2026, in Aledo, Illinois. The event begins at 7:00 p.m. and ends at 7:00 a.m. the following day. Last year, participants spent the night in their cars to raise awareness of rural homelessness and collected $12,151 for the emergency housing fund.
