Detroit Grand Prix weekend will kick off with the Detroit Grand Prix Kickoff Car Meet hosted by Modded Detroit at the Bricktown Parking Garage in downtown Detroit. The event is scheduled for Friday, May 29, starting at 7:00 p.m. and continuing all night.
The meet will feature a wide display of local car builds, including domestic muscle cars, tuners, and high-end supercars, filling every level of the parking structure. Highlights include music, local vendors, food, exclusive Grand Prix-themed merchandise, and the opportunity to sign the featured project build, El Turdo. All attendees will be entered into a drawing to win Detroit Grand Prix tickets.
Vehicle entry is $30 per car and $20 for bikes, while spectators can attend for $10 per person. All makes and models are welcome. Police and security will be on site, and organizers remind all participants to avoid reckless behavior to maintain access to the venue.
