The Hancock Mid-Summer BBQ Cook-Off & Car Show returns to Town Square on July 18. The event features local pit masters competing for best BBQ awards, with a $10 entry fee and 100 percent of proceeds benefiting a local charity. Classic and modern cars, hot rods, trucks and custom builds will compete for best in show awards.
Live music runs throughout the day, with John Gillespie Music performing from 10 a.m. to noon and Boat Yard Band from 1 to 3 p.m. A free petting zoo by Klondike Farms, local vendors and crafts will be on site. The event expects more than 3,500 visitors from across the Catskills, Southern Tier and Upper Delaware region.
The Greater Hancock New York Farmer’s Market & Crafts Fair organizes the event, with co-sponsorship from Hancock Area Chamber of Commerce and Hancock Partners Inc.
