Northeast Syndicate hosts a summer cookout for car enthusiasts Saturday at Hammonasset Beach State Park in Madison. The event welcomes all makes and models and features a cookout, music, group photos and opportunities to meet fellow enthusiasts. The family-friendly gathering encourages attendees to bring optional donations of canned food, school supplies or pet food to benefit Dan Cosgrove Animal Shelter and Attwater Senior Center. Event rules prohibit burnouts, excessive revving and racing. Participants must respect all builds, park visitors and leave the park cleaner than found.
