The 38 Fire Club hosts the 20th Annual Gordy Nelson Memorial Car Show on Saturday, Aug. 8, 2026, at the soccer fields under the water tower in Atkins, Iowa. Registration is $15, with trophies awarded to the top 50 vehicles. Special awards include Best Paint, Fire Dept Choice, and Best of Show, with participant voting determining all awards except Fire Dept Choice.
Food, including brats, burgers, and hot dogs, will be available for purchase. Lucky Wife Wine Slushies will also be on site. Awards are presented at 2 p.m.
