Hot Rods for Heroes Car Show at the DMACC Parking Lot

The 6th Annual Hot Rods for Heroes Car Show takes place at the DMACC parking lot in Ankeny, Iowa, with all proceeds benefiting Blue Star Mothers of Iowa in support of active-duty troops and veterans. The event is open to the public and welcomes veterans as honored guests.

Vehicle registration runs from 9 a.m. to noon, with judging from noon to 1 p.m. Entry fees are $15 for pre-registration (deadline Sept. 1) and $20 day of show. Pre-registration entries must be mailed to Chris Wulf, 1420 20th St. #6, West Des Moines, IA 50265, with checks made payable to Chris Wulf.

Funds raised support care packages, veteran-focused programs, and shipping costs for supplies sent to service members. The event is family-friendly and free for spectators.
