The We Care Foundation hosts its second annual walk and car show Sept. 19 at River Bend Event Center in Fort Smith. Registration for the car show begins at 8 a.m., with doors opening at 10:30 a.m. The day includes a pickle eating contest at noon, followed by the childhood cancer walk at 1:30 p.m. A memorial balloon release takes place at 1:45 p.m., with childhood cancer medals awarded at 2 p.m. and car show awards at 2:30 p.m. Early registration is $25 for adults and $20 for children, including free food and drinks, an event T-shirt and 10 door prize tickets. Day-of car show registration is $20. Activities include bounce houses, vendors and a 50/50 raffle. The event supports families of children battling cancer.
