Pine Tree Jamboree, “The 1/2 Fast Hot Rod Races,” is a period-correct, moving history exhibition celebrating flathead engines and the early days of drag racing from the early teens to the early 1950s. The event is restricted to pre-1954 flathead-only vehicles.
The four-day event takes place at Owls Head Transportation Museum in Owls Head, Maine, and is sponsored by Traditional Speed & Custom and Owls Head Transportation Museum. Time trials begin Friday at 1:00 PM. Pre-registration is required at www.pinetreejamboree.com.
The schedule includes a Thursday reliability run to Mount Battie Auto Road, Friday time trials and tech inspection, Saturday racing beginning at 9:15 AM, and Sunday vintage auto cross starting at 9:15 AM with an awards ceremony at 2:30 PM. All-day activities include a swap meet, biplane rides, teeter-totter challenge, and interactive exhibits. A Friday evening welcome party features comedian Jimmy Dunn and his Comedy All Stars at 7:30 PM (18+ only).
