About This Event
The Museum of International Folk Art, the Museum of Indian Arts and Culture, New Mexico History Museum and the New Mexico Museum of Art celebrate the Centennial of Route 66 with a community day event. The event begins downtown on Old Santa Fe Trail across from the Roundhouse with a classic car show at 10:00 a.m. A car cruise from downtown to Museum Hill starts at 12:00 p.m. On Museum Hill, a second car show features music including the Jacob Shije Trio. Attendees can participate in hands-on activities and discussions about Route 66’s meaning and impact on New Mexico. Food trucks will be on-site. Schedule: Downtown Car Show runs 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m., Car Crawl to Museum Hill runs 12:00-12:30 p.m., and events on Milner Plaza run 1:00-5:00 p.m.
