South Rome Trunk or Treat

The 14th Annual South Rome Trunk or Treat returns to the Polish Home in Rome, New York, on Sunday, October 25, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. This popular community event gathers hundreds of families for an evening of safe, organized trick-or-treating featuring more than 40 uniquely themed vehicle trunks.

Participating vehicles must pre-register in advance to secure an assigned parking space and reserve their decorative theme, as duplicate themes are avoided to provide variety for attendees. Trunk hosts are invited to get creative with elaborate setups, props, and coordinating costumes. Decorated vehicles are required to arrive by 4:30 PM for parking and setup before trick-or-treaters arrive.

Hosts should come prepared with sealed candy or non-candy alternatives such as stickers, glow sticks, pencils, and novelty toys to accommodate an estimated 800 to 1,000 children. Local businesses are also welcome to participate and share information about upcoming youth and family programs.
