First Annual Pig Roast, Trunk Or Treat Car Show

Horseshoe Bend will hold a community Halloween celebration with a trunk-or-treat and car show at two nearby locations, Cedar Glade – The Gathering Place and The Horseshoe Hub. The event is set for Saturday, Oct. 31, 2026. Participants may begin arriving and setting up at 5 p.m., and the trunk-or-treat and car show run from 6 to 9:30 p.m.

Participants can decorate a trunk and hand out candy or enter a special vehicle in the car show. A limited number of decorated-trunk and show-car spaces are available at each location, and early registration is encouraged. Registration is open in person at either Cedar Glade or The Horseshoe Hub, or by phone at either location. Registrants provide their name, phone number, whether they are entering a decorated trunk or a show car, and a brief description of the vehicle. Spaces are assigned according to availability so both locations have a balanced lineup, and registrants are contacted with their assigned setup location.

Two community-wide contests each carry a $50 prize: Best Decorated Trunk and Best Show Car. Michaela Hodges, Realtor, with Coldwell Banker Ozark Real Estate Company sponsors both prizes. Entries from both locations compete together for one winner in each category, and judges visit both Cedar Glade and The Horseshoe Hub so participants can remain at their assigned locations.

The two locations sit close together, allowing families to visit the Halloween activities at each one. Spectator admission is free.
