High School And Jr. Street Big Bucks Race

Tucson Dragway hosts the High School and Jr. Street Big Bucks Race, a day of bracket-style drag racing with guaranteed payouts. Gates open at 8 a.m., and first-round buybacks are available in all categories. The High School class carries a $40 tech card, and the winner takes home a guaranteed $400. Jr. Street also runs a $40 tech card, which includes one adult, with a guaranteed $400 for the winner. Two gambler races round out the program: the Low Roller Gambler for non-electronics Sportsman and Pro entries at a $50 tech card plus $20 per lane, and the High Roller Gambler for electronics Super Pro entries at a $100 tech card plus $40 per lane. Jr. Dragster classes for ages 6-12 and 13-17 each run a $40 tech card plus $20 per lane. All gambler payouts are based on car count. The event is sponsored by Nate’s Italian Kitchen. The 33rd Arizona High School Pit Crew Challenge takes place in the pits, and the Don Sink Memorial RC Sprint Car Race runs at the Bullring Highbank RC Raceway. Spectators attend free.
