National Museum of the Marine Corps Trunk or Treat Car Show

The National Museum of the Marine Corps hosts a Trunk or Treat Car Show with decorated vehicles, costumes and Halloween family activities. Admission and vehicle registration are free. Registered vehicles check in from 10 to 11:30 a.m., and the show opens to the public from noon to 3 p.m. Trunk-or-Treat contest voting begins at noon, and the winner for best decorated vehicle is announced at 1 p.m. The museum is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Visitors can take part in Halloween Family Day activities, tour the historical galleries, watch “Addams Family Values” or “We, the Marines” in the Medal of Honor Theater, try the laser-simulated rifle range and shop the Museum Store. Tun Tavern and Devil Dog Diner offer dining, and outdoor concessions are available during the car show. Public parking is available in unreserved spaces on a first come, first serve basis. Vehicle registration closes at midnight Oct. 22. The Marine Corps Heritage Foundation asks attendees to watch for social media scams claiming affiliation with the event or offering registration.
