Petco’s Paws & Community Day

Petco hosts Paws & Community Day, a free community event, from noon to 4 p.m. Nov. 14 at its store at 9638 US Hwy 19 N in Port Richey. The afternoon brings together pets, people and local groups, with adoption and rescue groups meeting visitors and a pet parade for owners and their animals.

The car show is free for spectators. Judged vehicle entry costs $20 and 50 awards go to judged vehicles, while a free park-and-show option lets other owners display their cars without judging. The show runs alongside Community Heroes Touch-a-Truck, where families can meet and explore emergency vehicles, and a kids zone with bounce houses and games.

Visitors can take a photo with Santa, browse tables from local businesses, listen to music and eat from food trucks, with giveaways through the afternoon. Inside the store, Petco offers grooming, training and a low-cost vaccination clinic, plus shopping and event specials, samples and a free raffle from local businesses.

Food trucks, local businesses and animal rescue or rehabilitation groups can set up tables at the gathering, and volunteers are being sought to help run it.
