GM vs Ford at Thunder Valley Raceway Park

GN vs FORD presents the GM vs. Ford Shootout at Thunder Valley Raceway Park in Noble, Oklahoma, on Nov. 7, 2026, a head-to-head drag racing program that matches competitors from the GM side against the Ford side. Gates open at 8 a.m., and the event starts at 9 a.m.

The GM team is open to Buick, Oldsmobile, Pontiac, Cadillac and GMC vehicles, plus any vehicle powered by an LS or LT engine regardless of body style. The Ford team is open to Ford, Lincoln and Mercury vehicles.

Racing uses a standard .400 Pro Tree start. Class 1, Outlaw/Pro, is a heads-up race for vehicles running 9.99 seconds or quicker on the eighth-mile. Class 2, Street/Daily, runs the full quarter-mile for vehicles at 10.0 seconds or slower.

Qualifying times pair each racer with the closest ET opponent, and the slower-qualified car in each pairing receives lane choice. Sponsor awards and payouts will be announced as additional sponsors sign on.

Spectator entry is $10, and children 12 and under get in free. Race entry is $50. The event is volunteer-organized and promoted by racers.
