Coudersport Car Shows Model Show

Coudersport Car Shows holds its model show from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 14 at Sweden Valley Grange, 129 Cherry Spring Rd. in Coudersport, Pennsylvania. The indoor event welcomes all models and scales, spanning aircraft, military, automotive subjects, ships, figures and dioramas.

Registration costs $10 for adults 18 and over for two entries and $2 for each additional entry. Juniors aged 11 to 17 pay $7 for unlimited entries, and minors 10 and under pay $2 for unlimited entries. Spectators get in free. Models must be in place by 11 a.m., and table space is limited to 20 tables.

Categories cover aircraft, military, automotive, ships, figures, miscellaneous, dioramas, along with junior and minor divisions. Judges make a first, second and third pick overall in each category and name a Best of Class and Spectator Pick, with 37 awards presented after judging is completed. Judging begins at 1 p.m. and weighs building techniques, detailing, realism, accuracy and overall workmanship.

Each model may be entered in only one category and must carry a 4-by-6 card describing the build. Any 3D-printed model goes into the appropriate category. A no-sweeps rule gives an entrant with multiple models the highest placing earned in that category. Judge decisions are final, and categories may be expanded, combined or changed at the discretion of the organizers and judges.

Music, food and a veteran ceremony round out the show.
