The Lake Placid Ski Club will host the 43rd Annual Lake Placid Ski Club Olympic Car Show on August 30 and 31, 2025. The event starts with Cruise Nite from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Lake Placid Fire Department, 456 Old Military Road, including a Park & Meet and Hot Dog BBQ. Participants will cruise Main Street and around the lake at 8 p.m. The Cruise Nite is free with car show registration.
On Sunday, the Car Show and Awards will take place at the Olympic Speed Skating Oval on Main Street. Check-in runs from 9 to 10:45 a.m., and the show runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event is open to all years, makes, and models of cars, trucks, and motorcycles. Awards include Favorite 25 Plaque, Top 3 Best of Show Overall Cash & Trophies, Top 3 Participant’s Choice Trophies, Top 3 Spectator’s Choice Trophies, Muffler Rap Plaques for Big Block, Small Block, Tuners, and a Club Participation Plaque.
Cars will be parked on the oval in order of arrival without class placement. The show will feature Muffler Rap, entertainment, and a BBQ. Awards will be presented at 4 p.m.
The event benefits the Lake Placid Ski Club Youth Ski Programs for Alpine, Nordic, and Ski Jumping disciplines. Registration fees are $20 before July 15, $25 after July 15, and $35 at the gate. Registration covers the driver, one guest, and children. Spectator fees are $10 for adults, $5 for students, and free for children under 12. No refunds will be issued. The event takes place rain or shine.
