The 65th Anniversary Funny Car Throwdown and Fall Nostalgia Classic is set for Sunday, August 3, 2025, at Island Dragway, 20 Island Rd, Great Meadows, New Jersey. Gates open at 8:30 a.m., time trials begin at 10 a.m., and eliminations are scheduled for around 12 p.m. The event features NHRA pros, including Terry Haddock racing his Nitro Nostalgia Funny Car against Jim Gifford. Nitro Joe Morrison will face Mike Geroni in a Blown Altered match-up, alongside a dozen Blown Alcohol Funny Cars and the Mid-Atlantic Nostalgia Pro Stock racers. Additional attractions include NETO Nostalgia, Comp East Coast Fuelers, nostalgia and modern muscle trophy classes, and a car show open to all makes and years. Admission is $70 for race entry, $30 for pit side adults, $25 for spectator side adults, and $10 for kids ages 6-14. A pit side carload special is available.
