The (812) Blackout Car & Truck Club hosts The Asphalt Assault on Saturday, Aug. 22, 2026, at Salem Speedway. The car show takes place on the legendary Salem Speedway track. Registration for the Show ‘N Shine closes at noon. The event runs from 8 a.m. until late evening and features kids power wheel races from 10 a.m. to noon, drifting from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., and spectator drags from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Awards are announced at 6 p.m. A burnout pit opens at 7 p.m., followed by a burnout contest at 8 p.m. and a night light show.
