The Anderson Arts Center hosts its annual Art of the Car concours judged car show on the Kemper Center grounds in Kenosha. The event features 20 judging classes spanning vehicles from 1900 to present, including stock cars, convertibles, street rods, street machines, trucks and special interest categories.
Three trophies will be awarded per class using a point system. A Best of Show trophy and a People’s Choice Award selected by spectators will also be presented. Pre-registration costs $15 per car and is due by Aug. 11. Day-of registration runs from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. at $20 per car.
The first 100 participants receive a dash plaque. The first 200 registrations receive a free car wash valued at $22, courtesy of Rocket Wash, valid at Kenosha and Racine locations. The show runs rain or shine and includes food, beverages and music. The event coincides with Kemper Center’s 50th anniversary celebration, which features the Kenosha Public Market, Music at Twilight concerts and fireworks at 9 p.m.
