The Auto Restorers Car Club hosts its 49th annual car show and swap meet at the Nicollet County Fairgrounds in St. Peter. Gates open at 6 a.m. for this rain-or-shine event featuring a new format with dash plaques but no classes or trophies. Show car registration costs $5 in Johnson Hall. Spectators enter free, with $5 parking per vehicle on the grounds.
Outdoor swap spaces measure approximately 12 by 24 feet and cost $30 with pre-registration or $40 at the gate Sunday. Indoor swap spaces cost $45 with pre-registration by Aug. 31 or $55 day of show. Car corral entry is $25 at the east gate. Setup begins at 2 p.m. Saturday, and vendors must vacate by 4:30 p.m. Sunday.
The event features multiple food vendors and live music. Elvis performs from 8 to 10 a.m., followed by Holy Rocka Rollaz from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Children receive Hot Wheels toys.
