Empire Hickory NC Car Club Chapter 5 will host a Back To School Cookout on August 23, 2025, at Southside Heights Park. The event begins at 4 p.m. and continues until closing.
Activities include giving away school supplies and playing basketball with children. Free food will be served to all attendees. The menu offers hotdogs, hamburgers, chicken, pork chops, chips, baked beans, coleslaw, soda, bottled water, juice, and popsicles.
The event is open to everyone.
