Big Barn Harley-Davidson hosts its 8th Annual Summer Open House, Bike and Car Show on Saturday, July 25, 2026, in Des Moines, Iowa. The event is open to the public at no charge, and vehicle registration is also free.
Custom motorcycles, classic cars and trucks are welcome to compete across multiple award categories. Motorcycle classes include Best Original/Vintage (pre-1984/Evolution), Best New Generation (post-1984), Best Trike, Best Paint and Best Custom. Car and truck classes mirror that structure with categories for Best Original/Vintage (pre-1984), Best New Generation (post-1984), Best Engine, Best Paint and Best Custom. Trophies and commemorative T-shirts are awarded to the top 10 finishers in both the motorcycle and car/truck divisions, with winners determined by People’s Choice voting.
A BBQ lunch will be served to benefit the Blue Star Mothers of Iowa. Additional vendors on site include Travelin’ Tom’s Coffee Truck and Outside Scoop Ice Cream Truck. Family activities include free balloon art and free face painting. A Kids’ Show & Shine is also part of the day’s programming.
