The Bombs Away Car Show takes place August 15, 2026, at Fort Steilacoom Park in Lakewood, Washington. Pre-registration opened April 23, 2026, with a cut-off date of August 10, 2026. The event features live music, interactive sports and arts activities for all ages, and trophy awards across multiple categories. Dash plaques will be given to the first 50 cars.
The show is part of SummerFest, a free festival for families that includes food trucks, a beer garden, live music, and an international festival. Trophy categories include Best of Show (Gold Trophy Cup), Veteran Trophy, and regular categories for Cadillac, Camaro, Corvette, Chevelle, Mustang, Mopar, El Camino or Ranchero, Orphan, Import, VW, Exotic, Original, Classic, Custom, Street-Rod, Hot-Rod, Rat-Rod, and Lowrider. Muscle car categories cover GM Classic, GM Newer, Ford Classic, Ford Newer, Mopar Classic, and Mopar Newer. Truck categories include Custom, Newer, Classic, and Original. Year categories span the 20’s through 80’s. Detail categories recognize Upholstery, Engine, Paint, and Under Construction.
