The 22nd annual Back to the Bricks® Main Event kicks off with “Bricks Flicks,” a free, family-friendly car show and outdoor movie night at the US 23 Highway Theatre in Flint, Mich., on Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2026. The event is sponsored by Huntington Bank.
Classic cars and cruisers will fill the front parking area of the drive-in lot, while non-classic family vehicles park in the rear. Spectators may move to any open space once the car show concludes at dusk, when the featured film — “F1 the Movie” starring Brad Pitt — begins on the big screen.
Admission is free and open to the public. Alcohol is not permitted. Pop-up canopies must be positioned directly in front of or behind vehicles and must be taken down before the movie starts. Grills are not allowed on the grounds. Mario’s Pizzeria, located across the street, is available for dining during the event.
“F1 the Movie” follows Sonny Hayes, a former racing star whose career ended in a crash in the 1990s, as he returns decades later to mentor a young rookie and help save a struggling Formula 1 team.
