About This Event
The Blackhawk Chapter of POCI presents the Buick, Oldsmobile, Pontiac Day at Cordova Dragway on Saturday, October 17, 2026, held in conjunction with the Oktoberfest bracket event. The weekend kicks off on Friday with an evening Test ‘n Tune session with gates opening at 5:00 PM ($30 entry). On Saturday, gates open at 11:00 AM, featuring a car show from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM alongside a full day of drag racing.
Special guest Arnie “The Farmer” Beswick will be attending with his merchandise trailer and signing autographs for fans. Car show vehicle registration is $20 and includes a spectator ticket to watch the drag racing. Drag racing classes include BOP Slicks ($50 entry, $30 buyback; $400 to win, $150 runner-up), BOP Street ($50 entry, $30 buyback; $400 to win, $150 runner-up), and BOP Quick 8 ($90 entry; $1,000 to win, $150 runner-up), concluding with a King of the Hill run-off of all BOP category winners for an extra $400.
