Xedar Rapids Night Meets returns Saturday, July 18, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Marion Airport, 1458 Marion Airport Rd in Marion, Iowa. Staging starts at 5 p.m. and gates open at 6 p.m.
The event features live music, a beer garden, food trucks, and airstrip runs. The runway runs are radar-timed quarter-mile pulls with cash prizes for the fastest Domestic, Bike, and Import. Racer spots open June 8 at 8 p.m., with 100 spots available and an early bird rate of $50 for the first 24 hours.
Entry is $10 per car for the event. Spectators are welcome. Grass parking is $10 per car plus $5 per person, with kids 12 and under free. Free street parking is also available, with the $5 walk-in fee still applying. VIP packages include early entry, reserved parking, and professional photos. Rules include no burnouts, excessive revving, or reckless driving. Drivers must use appropriate safety gear, and licensed and insured vehicles are required. Racers must sign a waiver.
