Chasing SS Cars & Vintage Steel celebrates its 50th year anniversary Oct. 8-10 at Veterans Park in Mt. Airy, N.C. The three-day event features a swap meet with vendor spaces at $30, RV and camping available, and great food. Thursday admission is $3 (8 a.m.-5 p.m.), Friday is $5 (8 a.m.-5 p.m.), and Saturday is $7 (8 a.m.-5 p.m.). Kids 12 and under are free every day.
Saturday, Oct. 10, features a judged car, truck and motorcycle show. Registration runs 8 a.m.-noon with a $15 entry fee. Several classes are offered for cars and trucks, with first, second and third place awards in each class, plus Best of Show and specialty awards.
A model car contest for ages 15 and under takes place Saturday, Oct. 10. Entry is free, with first, second and third place class winners receiving model car prizes.
