The City of Green will host its annual Memorial Day events on May 25, 2026. Activities begin with a free pancake breakfast from 7 am to 10 am at Fire Station #1, 4200 Massillon Road, prepared by Fire Local Union #2964. Donations benefit the Furnace Street Mission Safety Forces Support Center.
The Memorial Day Parade steps off at 10 am from Green High School, 1474 Boettler Road, and travels east to Green Intermediate School. Interested parade participants can contact the Parks Division before May 16.
A Memorial Day Ceremony will take place at 12 pm at Veterans Memorial Park, 1900 Steese Road, followed by a free picnic lunch in the park. At 12:30 pm, the Community Car Show opens at the Queen of Heaven Parish Life Center, 1800 Steese Road, and runs until 3 pm.
Parking is available at the Fire Station #1 (handicap only), Queen of Heaven Church, and Anthony Funeral Home. Steese Road will be closed to traffic during the parade and ceremony.
