City Of Topeka Trunk Or Treat

The City of Topeka Trunk or Treat brings Halloween activities to Evergy Plaza on Oct. 29, 2026, from 5 to 8 p.m. The evening includes a car show, a costume contest, crafts, games, music and food. Decorated vehicles from law enforcement, community partners, car show participants and first responders will pass out treats and meet with community members. This year’s theme is “Classic Costumes,” celebrating timeless Halloween favorites such as witches, mummies, werewolves and vampires. Everyone may enter the themed costume contest category, and all family-friendly costumes are welcome. The costume contest is open to all ages. The car show is a show and shine rather than a judged show. Car show participants enter at 7th and Quincy. Trailers are not allowed in the event area; participants should unload on a side street and drive their vehicles in. Spectator admission and vehicle registration are both free.
