Cruisin’ to the Square, formerly known as Hot August Night, returns to the historic downtown square in Jefferson, Iowa, on the second Thursday of August. Hosted by Jefferson Matters, the annual event fills the square and surrounding streets with cars, trucks, motorcycles, and antique tractors for an evening of small-town community celebration open to all ages.
Vehicle registration is free, with online pre-registration available as well as day-of sign-up. Participants compete for prizes across several vehicle categories and can take part in a Poker Walk. Jefferson Matters will serve a grilled picnic supper during the event. If weather forces a cancellation, the rain date is Friday, August 14.
