The Great Darke County Fair hosts its second annual Touch-A-Truck event Thursday, Aug. 27, 2026, from noon to 3 p.m. in the infield/track area. Gates open at 10 a.m. for exhibitors entering through Gate 5 off Route 121. Admission to the fairgrounds is free until 3 p.m.
The event welcomes all vehicles including trucks, heavy machinery, pulling tractors, fire trucks, EMS vehicles, police vehicles, semis, race cars, monster trucks and Jeeps. Awards will be presented for Best Dodge (honoring Ian Dixon), Best Chevy (honoring Carl Schlechty), Best GMC (honoring Kasyn Hollinger), Best Ford (honoring Josh Armstrong), Best of Show and Kids Choice.
Activities include line dancing with a DJ and a bicycle giveaway. The event is held in loving memory of Josh Armstrong, Ian Dixon, Carl Schlechty and Kasyn Hollinger.
