The Decades of Speed Car Show, presented by Duffy’s Classic Cars and Cedar Rapids Transmissions, will be held at Hawkeye Downs in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The event runs from July 18 through July 26 as part of Hawkeye Downs’ 100th racing season celebration in Eastern Iowa.
The show, hosted in the Hawkeye Downs Expo Center, features a range of vintage race cars, motorcycles, quarter midgets, and karts that showcase the evolution of racing from the 1930s to 2025. Many vehicles on display have raced at Hawkeye Downs or represent vehicles from past racing eras.
Admission is free for all ages. Voluntary donations at the door will support the Hawkeye Downs Wall of Fame. Normal hours are Monday through Thursday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Friday from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM, and Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Special hours on Saturday, July 26 are 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
The Hawkeye Downs Wall of Fame, established in 2002, honors contributors to the track’s history. The next Wall of Fame Night is scheduled for Friday, July 25, 2025, with honorees Bob Ballard, Landon Cassill, Max Rogers, Ken Schraeder, and Jim Williams.
