The Demolition Derby event, presented by Stepp’s Towing, will take place at the Florida State Fairgrounds, 4800 N US Highway 301, Tampa, FL 33610, over two days.
On Saturday, February 14, events begin at 6:00 PM with a Figure 8 Race (Closed Class) followed by a Front-Wheel Drive (FWD) Car Demolition Derby (Open Class). On Sunday, February 15, events start at 1:00 PM with a Figure 8 Race (Closed Class) and a Demolition Derby (Closed Class).
The FWD Car Demolition Derby offers payouts depending on the number of entries: under 10 entries – $1,000 for first place, $400 for second, $300 for third; 11 or more entries – $1,200, $400, and $300 respectively; 16 or more entries – $1,500, $400, and $300 respectively. An additional $400 prize is awarded for the Most Patriotic Paint Job, with a total payout of $2,600.
The event is free to watch with fair admission.
