The 3rd annual Downtown Elgin Car Show, titled “Cruising Down Memory Lane,” will take place on August 3, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. just north of Festival Park on Grove. The show is open to all makes and models of cars, trucks, and motorcycles, with day-of registration available for $15 per vehicle from 9:30 a.m. to noon. Judging will be conducted by The Rolling Devils Car Club, whose vehicles are ineligible for awards.
Celebrity guest judge Jaime Hjelm, featured on the Netflix series TEX MEX MOTORS and Bitchin’ Rides, will present three custom awards. The event will feature 40 judged awards by 3:30 p.m., along with door prizes and food from Cesaroni BBQ food truck. Spectator admission is free. The show is presented by the Elgin Heritage Commission with support from the Elgin History Museum, Rolling Devils Car Club, and other local sponsors.
