The seventh annual Old Saybrook National Drive Electric Month event will take place on Sunday, October 5, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Saybrook Point Pavilion, 155 College Street, Old Saybrook, CT 06475. Attendees can view a variety of electric vehicles (EVs) and plug-in hybrid EVs, learn from current owners, and interact with local auto dealers who will showcase the latest EV models. Test drives and rides will be available. Informational handouts will cover differences between EVs and gas-powered cars, available models, charging station options, and details on state and federal savings programs, including Connecticut rebates and federal tax credits. Eversource Energy will provide information on current rebates for EV charging equipment. Vehicle owners and attendees are encouraged to register in advance.
