Fall Matsuri

Scale Motion and Off The Line Performance present Fall Matsuri, a three-day radio-controlled drift and car show event at Off The Line Performance in Des Moines, Iowa. The event runs Oct. 30 through Nov. 1, 2026, and is billed as Scale Motion’s largest event of the year.

The schedule opens Friday, Oct. 30, with a pre-meet and street session. Organizers plan to meet downtown that evening for food, a city walk and 1:10 street spots if weather allows. Participants should bring an outdoor rig and backpack. Saturday, Oct. 31, and Sunday, Nov. 1, are the two main event days.

The weekend centers on 1:10 drift competition with more than 20 hours of track time on a high-speed indoor epoxy track. A twin drift competition lets drivers bring a partner or form a team at the event. Sunday offers open track for anyone who cannot attend Saturday or wants more laps. Drivers should run LF3 tires; scuffed tires are acceptable.

The driver fee is $20 for Saturday and $10 for Sunday. Organizers note they do not usually charge but the fee covers provided food and raffles. An indoor and outdoor 1:1 car show runs alongside the RC action, and participants are encouraged to bring their own 1:1 and 1:10 vehicles. The weekend also includes raffles, fun competitions and a unique track. Halloween costumes are optional.
