Ghost Gang and Pistons & People host a back-to-school community car meet Aug. 16 from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Cross Road Diner, 3105 S. Sheridan Road, Sheridan. The event collects school supply donations for Central Montcalm Schools. Organizers accept new backpacks, notebooks, pens, markers and other supplies. On-site barbers provide free haircuts for ages 5 to 18 on a first-come, first-served basis. A DJ plays hip-hop and classic hits throughout the afternoon.
