Golden Sands Speedway opens its 59th season May 8 with Super Late Model, Super Stock, 4 Cylinder Stock, 4 Cylinder Modified and 6 Cylinder racing. The Wisconsin Rapids track runs a full schedule through October, featuring weekly Friday night events and special races including the Trickle 99 on Memorial Day, the Budleski 55 on June 12, Fireworks Night on June 26, and the Tundra Cleaver Classic on July 25. Championship nights are scheduled for Aug. 7 and Aug. 14. The season includes the UARA event Aug. 1 and concludes with the ISS Creepy Classic on Oct. 24 or 31. Racing classes include Super Late Model, Pro Late Model, Super Stock, Hobby Stock, 4 Cylinder Stock, 4 Cylinder Modified, 6 Cylinder, 6 Cylinder RWD, Bando, Legend, Vintage, Midwest Truck, Sport Truck and Supercup.
