About This Event
The Hillsboro Municipal Airport Open House/Fly In brings aircraft, vehicles and family activities to Hillsboro Municipal Airport on Nov. 7, 2026, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is free.
EAA Chapter 280 serves a pancake breakfast for a donation that supports the chapter’s work promoting aviation and inspiring the next generation. Static aircraft displays give visitors an up-close look at a variety of aircraft, and airplane rides will be available for purchase for those who want to see Hillsboro and the surrounding area from the air.
A car show adds vehicles to the field alongside the aircraft, and children can inspect emergency vehicles and meet the people who operate them. Food and craft vendors offer something to eat and a chance to support local businesses and makers. A cornhole tournament is in the works, with details to be announced as plans are finalized.
Pilots who want to fly in will have aircraft parking available. Organizers are working out the parking layout and available space and will post an estimated number of aircraft the airport can accommodate. Additional information for arriving pilots will be shared closer to the event. Fly-in and vendor forms are available online.
