About This Event
The Hot Pepper Festival spans two days of cars and horsepower in Palestine, Texas. A cruise-in opens the weekend at 4 p.m. Friday at the Farmers Market and Palestine Visitor Center. Cars, trucks, classics, hot rods and customs are welcome.
The Journey HQ Car Show runs 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday on W. Crawford Street and the Palestine Church parking lot. Construction downtown moved the show to a new location this year, placing it closer to the Hot Pepper Festival activities. Cars line Crawford Street in front of Home Grill Steakhouse and Double Tap, with additional parking in the church lot.
Show registration enters participants in a drawing for prizes and gift certificates from sponsors and local businesses. Car show traffic enters from Palestine Avenue onto N. Sycamore Street near ETX Balloon Gal, 102 E. Palestine Avenue, then follows N. Sycamore Street to W. Crawford Street. Trailer parking is available at Tahwahkaro Distillery, 100 N. Church St. Because the Saturday show falls on Halloween, costumes are encouraged.
