The Independence Neighborhood hosts Grills & Grilles, a combined BBQ competition and car show on Sunday, August 16th from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Both competitions offer free registration and prizes. The BBQ competition awards prizes for Best in Smoke, Chicken, Ribs, Pulled Pork, and Brisket. The car show also awards prizes. The event features a beer garden hosted by Elizabeth Brewing Company, live DJ music, a local vendors marketplace, and Rose’s Creamery ice cream truck.
