Intro to Performance Driving (IPD) will take place on December 20 in Slidell, Texas, at Eagles Canyon Raceway. The event features one-day programs for drivers at Level 1 (Green) and Level 2 (Blue). Level 1 is designed for novice drivers, covering essential skills such as the driving line, cornering dynamics, and braking basics. Level 2 requires prior completion of Level 1 or equivalent experience and focuses on advanced techniques like threshold and trail braking, load management, throttle steering, and passing.
The cost is $400 per day for participants bringing their own car. Track-prepped car rentals are also available, including a Toyota GR Supra for $1,600, a BMW M2 (G87) for $1,800, and a Porsche Cayman 718 S for $2,300. Each program runs from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Registration closes the Tuesday prior to the event at 10:00 AM. SUVs, trucks, and EVs are not permitted on track, and all vehicles must have two seats with matching safety equipment.
