The Live Steam & Vintage Car Show Plus Roast Beef Dinner returns to Big Valley on July 13, 2025. This event features a round-trip diesel train journey from Stettler, with adult tickets priced at $150 and children’s tickets at $85. Children two and under ride free. Guests can see working models, pump engines, and classic cars, and enjoy a buffet-style Alberta roast beef meal at Big Valley’s hall. The trip includes live entertainment in the coaches, visits to local attractions such as Granny’s Fudge Factory, All That Buzz, a restored 1912 Canadian Northern railway station, St. Edmund’s church, and several museums and interpretive centres. There is a high likelihood of a mounted train robber attack during the event. The event runs from 2:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
