Luther Park Community hosts a car show Aug. 1 from 8 a.m. to noon at 1555 Hull Ave in Des Moines. All years, makes and models are welcome. Registration is $20, with all profits donated to the Luther Park Community Memory Care Unit. The host will provide hot dogs, chips and drinks, with free-will donations accepted.
