The Marshall Motorfest returns for its third year with a weekend of automotive events July 31 through August 1. The weekend kicks off Friday evening with Classics & Cocktails and car show registration from 6 to 8 p.m. at Venue 19Zero9, followed by a free screening of Cars 2 at the airport from 9:30 to 11:30 p.m.
Saturday begins with Cars & Coffee and car show registration from 9 to 11 a.m. at DeNooyer Chevrolet. The cruise lineup starts at 11 a.m., with a family zone and Ford test drives beginning at noon. The cruise departs at 1 p.m., followed by the downtown car show from 1:30 to 5 p.m. Rockabilly competitions run from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m., with the car show awards ceremony at 4 p.m. The Dark Horse After Party with Dark Horse Mustang takes place from 6 to 11 p.m. The evening concludes with a free screening of Cannonball Run at the airport from 9:30 to 11:30 p.m.
Awards include Best of Show, Best Interior, Best Paint and Best Engine. The event is sponsored by Ford, BlueOval Battery Park Michigan, Tenneco and Ventcon.
