Mason-Dixon in Boonsboro, MD, hosts the Rocking Chair Nationals on Saturday, June 27, with a raindate of Sunday, June 28. The event features drag racing across seven classes, including Pro Stick, Pro Eliminator, All Run, Nostalgia Eliminator, and more. Championship points will be awarded, with over 100 awards distributed to participants.
Gates open at 8 a.m., followed by personality interviews at 9:30 a.m. and show awards at 3 p.m. Drag eliminations begin at noon, with drag time trials at 11:30 a.m. and the show grid time at 11 a.m. Admission is $20 per car show entry, which includes all-day drag eliminations and a free pit pass.
Race classes include Pro Stick with a $7,500 purse and $750 to win, Pro Eliminator with all run and no electronics allowed, and Nostalgia Eliminator for door cars only with all run and no electronics. Entry fees range from $20 to $50, with buy-backs available for $25.
Special awards include Best in Show Sponsor’s Choice, Legends Best in Show, Best Original, Best Pro Street, Best Survivor, Best Mustang, Best Mopar, Best Camaro, Best Rat Rod, and multiple Best Truck categories spanning 1955 to 2016. Pro Stick racing will feature backseat drivers, engine drivers, and roadsters, with bike-it class racing on Saturday, June 27.
