The First Assembly of God in DeLand will host its first-ever MCG Car Show on Saturday, September 27. Organized with support from Midflorida Cars and Grub, the event will raise funds for the church’s youth ministries. The show takes place at 551 S Kepler Rd, DeLand, with same-day car show registration opening at 3 p.m. and the event running from 4 to 9 p.m.
The youth-judged car show will feature four awards, a sound off competition with an award for the loudest vehicle based on a decibel reader, and a king of the hill 2-step/rev battle, awarding $50 to the winner. Registration fees are $10 for judged entries and $5 for non-judged vehicles, with all proceeds benefiting the church’s youth programs. Spectator parking is free. The event includes food trucks, indoor dining, and restrooms.
